Cancellation Policy

Seat Goal Booking

Trips on SeaSeatShareuse a minimum guest count, the seat goal. If the seat goal is not met by the departure date, all payment holds are automatically voided and guests are not charged. This ensures you never pay for a trip that doesn't happen.

Guest Cancellation

Guests may cancel their booking at any time before the trip's seat goal is met. Once the seat goal is met and the trip is confirmed, the payment authorisation is captured and standard cancellation terms apply.

Captain Cancellation

If a captain cancels a confirmed trip, all guests receive a full refund automatically. We take captain reliability seriously and track cancellation patterns to maintain platform quality.

Refund Processing

Refunds are processed through Stripe and typically appear within 5–10 business days depending on your financial institution. Voided payment holds (for trips that did not meet the seat goal) are released immediately.
